Olympic Torch arrives in Beijing for opening Ceremony on Friday, 8th Aug


The Olympic Torch, three days before the the start of the 2008 Beijing Olympic arrived in the Beijing city, before its reaches to its final destination the Bird's Nest Olympic stadium for opening ceremony of 2008 Olympics on Friday, 8th August, 2008 evening.

On Wednesday, the relay will begin in the Forbidden City, just north of Tiananmen Square and the end to another historic milestone in the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. More than four hours in relay route is 16,442 km long. 433 torch bearers will participate on the first day.

On Thursday, the second day of the relay, 268 torch owners will take the torch to 14 km from the Great Wall at Badaling tourist return to the city, finishing, Dita (Temple of the Earth) Park.

In his last stop on Friday, the torch relay will start from Zhoukoudian, the suburb where the archaeological site of Beijing jewel man was noted that the Beijing Olympic Games organizers (BOCOG) said Tuesday.

8 km from the leg ends in Beijing 101 Middle School District on Friday, when the flame must be transported to the national stadium for the opening ceremony of the night.
